Ensure a multi-disciplinary approach for improved access control including i.e. healthcare professionals, facility/security experts, technology provider(s), installers and IT experts.

Identify potential spaces for patient overflow (i.e. gym, lobby, outdoor).

Establish a plan for transfer of patients between or within facilities. Verify availability and resources for patient transportation and ensure secured routing, access control and authorizations.

Establish a plan for initiating building lock-down including secured access.

Establish an access authorization plan for authorization of staff members who need access to restricted areas i.e. (pre)triage spaces, isolated rooms, (temporary) IC rooms, waste rooms, stockrooms and morgues to reduce the possibility of transmission among other patients. Prepare authentication profiles per role/job that can be applied to access control in real-time.

Incorporate the use of data from access control systems in overall data analytics plan.
